Jay Dee Fast Trucking and Disaster The following cautionary tale was taken from the Jay Dee Fast Trucking website. On February 25, 2002 , we experienced a potentially devastating fire which totally destroyed an entirely new facility. We had only moved into this facility on 1/18/02. We are proud to say that our employees pulled together when it counted. While the fire was consuming our new building, employees had presence of mind to get much equipment away from the building. Two doors away, the Jay Dee team regrouped and immediately got up and running that night. We re-established our communications system and began to rebuild. Jay Dee kept its DC delivery commitments that next morning and restored its store delivery by the following day. It was a tireless team commitment to get back in servicing our customers. We also want to thank the endless number of friends, vendors and even some competitors in their offerings to help us get back. Most of all, we want to thank our fantastic customers for their continued commitment and standing beside us.
