An Overview of the Remote Backup System The Remote Backup System by Assure Data Corporation is designed to eliminate the holes in traditional backup systems and to automate the process as much as can be done. An Assure Data server is placed on-site for fast backups. At a time or times of your choice, your data (servers and networkstations) is copied (backed up) to the server. When that process is complete, the server sends that data over the Internet to the Assure Data secure site. Security is maintained with military level coding to ensure that no one is able to read the information while it is being transferred. When recovery is needed, the data on the backup server can be viewed before restoration to ensure that it is the data that is needed. Should a local disaster have occurred, the data at the secure site can be viewed for verification and then downloaded to the appropriate computer. The recovery software is loaded on one or computers at the customer's location. It is easy to use in the point-and-click format. The backup process is entirely automated with success or failure emails sent to both Assure Data and the customer.
